Zina Constancia is a senior infielder and designated hitter (DH) for the Lady Bears softball team. As a native of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, Constancia started all 29 games and tallied a .349 batting average. She also crushed a team high of eight home runs, accounted for 28 runs batted in (RBI's), ten runs scored, and five doubles.

As a result of her strong performance in the 2014 season, Constancia was picked to the 2015 Preseason All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) second team, as voted on by the conference's head softball coaches and sports information directors.Â

The Lady Bears begin the 2015 season on the road against North Carolina A&T in the opener of the N.C. A&T Aggie Invitational (Feb. 14-15). The first home contest will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015 when Morgan State plays host to Hampton in a doubleheader at Lois T. Murray Field.
Student LifeWhere is the best place to study on campus? The best place for me to study would have to be my living room in the Thurgood Marshall Apartment Complex on campus.
Why did you choose to major in Finance? It was an easy decision for me because both of my parents have a background in Finance.
My favorite class at Morgan State is? Bank Management
Who is your favorite Professor and why? Dr. Berliner because I felt like his intentions are good and his primary focus is for the students to fully grasp why things are today and how they became that way.
If you were the University President for a day, what would you do?Â
BUILD A SOFTBALL FIELD, oh and to provide better facilities in order for our athletic programs to be able to compete at a higher level.
Describe your first day as a student at Morgan State University? Culture shock… It was different from where I previously attended school my freshman year. I attended Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
What do you like most about Morgan State? That's easy, my teammates. We are just like a family and it makes me feel more comfortable here. Also, Coach Eaton, our Strength and Conditioning Coach because he motivates us to become better each and everyday.

What is your top skill as an infielder? My arm strength and accuracy on defense and my pure power on offense
Skill you need to improve - In general, I need to have more of a plate discipline. I need to understand that I am not going to get that home run pitch every time. So, if I need to take a walk to help my team out, I am fine with that.
