Beamon Named to All-Courtyard by Marriott Invitational Team
Dina Beamon totaled 66 digs in four matches over the weekend.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Aug. 28, 2010)-Morgan State junior libero Dina Beamon was named to the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational All-Tournament team on Saturday.
Beamon concluded the invitational with 66 digs, two assists and an ace in four matches played. A native of Bellwood, Ill., Beamon’s best outing came in the season-opener, when she tallied a match-high 28 digs in a five-set victory over Saint Francis-Pa. The victory was Morgan State’s first season-opening win since a 3-2 victory over Virginia Commonwealth during the 1999 season, thus ending a 10-year losing skid in season-openers.
Joining Beamon on the all-tournament team was MVP Liz Homan and Allison Foschia (Duquesne), Meghan Albiston and Rachelle Allen (Montana State), Amanda Graham (Robert Morris), Emily Carlin (Radford) and Angelika Kopacz (Lehigh).
