Morgan State’s Ivanti Bush tallied a team-high 15 kills and added 10 digs, while sophomore Erin Cox also finished with a double-double, contributing 14 kills and 10 digs, but it wasn’t enough, as Morgan State dropped a 3-1 (28-30, 25-18, 20-25, 17-25) decision to Bethune-Cookman in a quarterfinal match of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championship volleyball tournament on Friday morning at the Coppin Center.

The Morgan State volleyball team will enter this weekend’s Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) volleyball championship tournament as the No. 3 seed in the North Division and will face Bethune-Cookman the No. 2 seed in the South on Friday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. at the Coppin Center on the campus of Coppin State University.

HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 8, 2009)-Heading into Sunday afternoon’s season finale at Hampton, the Morgan State volleyball team knew that they needed to win in order to advance to the upcoming Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championship. A loss and the Lady Bears would be eliminated for the second consecutive season.

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 6, 2009)-The Lady Bears volleyball team closed out their 2009 home slate with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 18-25) loss to Delaware State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) North Division match at Hill Field House. With the loss the Lady Bears ended the home campaign with a 3-4 record.

The Morgan State volleyball team will close out its 2009 home slate this Friday evening when it plays host to Delaware State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) North Division match at Hill Field House. The match will also be ‘Senior Night’ for four-year players, Ivanti Bush and Hilary Tutman, who will be playing their final home match in the friendly confines of Hill Field House.
