BALTIMORE, Md. -- Head Coach Donald Hill-Eley's Bear football team will begin their 2010 campaign Tuesday, August 3 when all student-athletes report for preseason practice. Morgan State returns 54 lettermen and 14 starters from last year's squad, including seven (four members of the Preseason All-MEAC Team headed by cornerback Darren McKhan, tight end Lamont Bryant, punter Nicholas Adams, and offensive lineman Lawrence Brewer.
In the preseason poll released by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), the Bears were predicted to finish fifth by the coaches and sports information directors.
MSU's first official day of practice will begin Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Hughes Stadium. The scrimmages are scheduled for August 14 and August 21.
The Bears open the season at Hughes Stadium on Saturday, September 4 against Bowie State. The match-up against the Bears will be the first of five home games for the Bears. This year homecoming will be on October 23 against conference rival Delaware State.
