Sprint Medley Team Places Fourth At Pepsi Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 31, 2018)-Members of the Morgan State women's track and field team travelled to the University of Florida this weekend to compete in the 74th annual Pepsi Florida Relays at Percy Beard Track.

The three-day meet came to a close on Saturday and the Lady Bears' 1600 meter sprint medley team highlighted the weekend for Morgan State with a fourth-place finish in the College Section. The squad of Kevena Jones, Naomi Brown, Valencia McDowell and Infinnatie Rowe ran a time of 3:56.85.

Morgan State's 4X200 relay team of Annastacia Barham, Naomi Brown, Kevena Jones and Brittany Meads ran a time of 1:36.81 to place ninth in the College Section.

The Lady Bears will return to action next weekend in Williamsburg, Va. for the Colonial Relays (April 5-7) at Walter J. Zable Stadium at Cary Field on the campus of William & Mary.
