Final Results

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Freshman Daenah Pressley led the way for the Morgan State men's track and field team with his high jump title at the Weems Baskin Invitational Saturday hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Pressley was the lone Bear to capture an event in the 45-team meet, as he recorded a leap of 1.98m (6'6"). The jump also currently ranks 55^th in the NCAA Division I East Qualifying List.
 
Pressley's previous outdoor best was 1.88m (6' 2"), he achieved at last weekend's Maryland Invitational. His jump at the Weems Baskin Invitational is currently the best high jump of his rookie career.
 
Other Highlights:
Freshman  Joshua Smith took fifth in the discus throw open with a season-best toss of 44.64m (146-05).
 
Senior Lloyd Hylton placed seventh in the long jump invitational by posting a 7.28m (23-10.75).
 
Sophomore Vikarie Elliott threw a 45.65m (149-09) to place eighth in the discus throw invitational, and also recorded a ninth place finish with a 14.49m (47-06.50) in the shot put.
 
The men's 4x400 team of (Kevin Leach, Keon Rantin, Shindell Henry, Ilkeem Ellis) took sixth in the event with an IC4A qualifying time of 3:16.96.

Up next, Morgan State will compete at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida from March 29 – March 31.
