BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 5, 2018)-The Morgan State women's indoor track and field team travelled to Boston, Mass. over the weekend to take part in the Boston University Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday, held at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
 
Jailah Mason would capture the Lady Bears' lone title, as she recorded a winning height of 5-8.75 to win the high jump.
 
The Lady Bears field events team also had received strong outings out of Zhane Washington and Alantra Mines, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the triple jump. Washington had a jump of 39-7.25, while Mines recorded a jump of 39-1.00.
 
Rochelle Johnson placed seventh in the long jump with a jump of 17-11.75. Nikelene McLean set a personal-best in the weight throw for the second consecutive meet, throwing a 50-10.75 to place eighth.
 
On the track, Kevena Jones placed seventh in the 60 meter dash, crossing the line in a time of 7.87.
 
Infinnatie Rowe came in seventh in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:09.43. Annastacia Barham came in ninth in the 400 meter dash in a time of 55.12 and ran a time of 24.45 to finish 10th in the 200 meter dash.
 
Morgan's A team of the 4X400 meter relay, crossed the line in a time of 3:46.86 to finish eighth.
 
The Lady Bears will now prepare for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field championships at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md. The championships get underway on Thursday, Feb. 15 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 17.
