BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 23, 2015)-Under the direction of Morgan State women's tennis coach Matt Townes, the Lady Bears closed out the early recruiting season on a high note by adding 3-Star prospect Yvonne Peters-Washington to the 2016 class.

Peters-Washington is a top 500 national player and is also an excellent student. While not technically local, the York, Pa. native is still close enough to call this area home.

"We anticipate continued success for Yvonne in the classroom and on the tennis court, where she is certain to make an early impact," said Townes. "She adds depth and stability to an already talented, mature and hungry core of players."

Last season the Lady Bears finished 6-15 overall and entered the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship as the No. 2 seed out of the northern division with a 4-1 league record.
