ROBERTS SELECTED MEAC ROOKIE OF WEEK, AGAIN - Morgan State University Athletics

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Morgan State freshman linebacker Elandon Roberts was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

This week's selection of the Week marks the second time Roberts has claimed that distinction so far this season.

Roberts had another impressive effort this past weekend against North Carolina A&T in a nationally televised contest. The Port Arthur, Texas product collected a game-high 14 tackles and had a tackle for a loss during a 21-18 victory against the Aggies.

The 6-1, 225 pounder currently ranks No. 4 in the MEAC with 39 total tackles and ranks No. 3 in tackles for loss (FCS T-12th; 6.0). He also ranks No. 5 in the FCS with 29 solo tackles.

This marks the second time this season Roberts has been honored as the MEAC Rookie of the Week.

Morgan State (2-2, 1-0 MEAC) takes on Savannah State (0-4, 0-2) this Saturday at 7 p.m. during the Tigers second home game of the season at Theodore Wright Stadium. The game will be broadcast live by WEAA, 88.9 FM. The Tigers will enter the contest coming off a 56-9 loss at Howard.
