Miller Named To CFPA Defensive Back Watch List

BALTIMORE, Md. – Morgan State senior safety Reshaude Miller was named Tuesday to the preseason watch list for the FCS Defensive Back of the Year Award given by the College Football Performance Awards.

Miller is one of 36 FCS defensive backs on the preseason list by the CFPA, which gives out weekly and yearly positional awards based on objective, scientific ratings of the extent to which players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.

Miller (6-4, 190) returns to his free safety position where he was selected to the All-MEAC team last season. The Florence, S.C. native was one of the top playmakers in the league and led the Bears with 67 total tackles. He also ranked 5th in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with four interceptions. Miller is an absolute ball-hawk with a high football I.Q. and will continue to be a vocal leader for the defense. The coaching staff feels he will once again be a player to watch when the Bears kickoff the season this fall.

Other MEAC defensive backs on the list include Michael Williams of Bethune-Cookman and D'Vonte Graham of North Carolina Central.

The Bears will kickoff the 2011 season on September 3rd against the Towson Tigers.
