Hartly, DE – Morgan State senior guard Reggie Holmes has been named the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) Division I National Player of the Year as voted by a fan poll.

Holmes, the 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year, ranked 10th among the nation's leading scorers by averaging 21.8 points per game during the regular season. He scored 20 or more points in 24 out of 37 games, including six games of 30 or more points.
HSRN developed the fan poll to get all HBCU alumni, students and fans involved with the national process and to also give everyone a chance to consistently keep up with the individual performances around the country.  Holmes collected 1,345 votes, while Garrison Johnson (Jackson State) garnered 610 votes.
On the women's side, Katrich Williams (Alabama A&M) beat out Morgan State's Corin “Tiny” Adams by a margin of 6,083 to 4,762 to capture the HSRN's Division I National Player of the Year honor.
