BALTIMORE, Md. (March 3, 2010)-Kristina Rosario was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
A native of Atlantic City, N.J., Rosario averaged nine points and nine rebounds, while totaling three blocks, four steals and went a combined 8-for-8 from the free throw line in helping Morgan to a 1-1 week.
Rosario fell shy of a double-double with 14 rebounds (nine defensive) and eight points, including 6-for-6 from the free throw line, while adding one block and a steal against Maryland Eastern Shore. Rosario added 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting, four rebounds, two blocks and three steals in Saturday’s win over Norfolk State.
This is the second MEAC Defensive Player of the Week honor for Rosario this season, who also earned the award on Feb. 1, 2010.
