The Morgan State women's bowling team will take their 63-62 record into this weekend's MEAC Championship in Greensboro, N.C.

MEAC Bowling Championship to Get Underway This Friday

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 16, 2010)-The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will begin this Friday, March 19 at 9 a.m. at the Gate City Lanes in Greensboro, N.C.

 

Delaware State, Maryland Eastern Shore and Hampton all qualified from the northern division, while Florida A&M, Norfolk State, Bethune-Cookman and South Carolina State will compete from the southern division.

  

Only the top four teams from each division are eligible to compete in the championship tournament. Howard (7-23), Coppin State (1-29) and North Carolina A&T (4-20) will not compete in the championship tournament.

 

The tournament begins Friday with a qualifying round to determine seeding. Teams will then compete in a second qualifying round with Baker games and placed in a double-elimination bracket.

 

Play continues on Saturday with team competing in a best-of-seven Baker series.

 

The 2010 MEAC Bowling championship will conclude on Sunday, March 21 beginning with the semifinal round at 9:50 a.m. and concluding with the championship final at 11:45 a.m.
