Bowling Begins MEAC Slate With 4-6 Mark

HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 9, 2009)-The Lady Bears bowling team competed in their first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) competition of the 2009-10 season over the past weekend winning four matches, while losing six.

 

On Saturday, bowling in the traditional team games, the Lady Bears won two matches and lost three. Morgan defeated Howard (1008-865) and Coppin State (1017-732), while losing to host Hampton (859-931), Delaware State (893-1000) and Maryland Eastern Shore (917-996).

 

On Sunday, bowling in the Baker matches, the Lady Bears won two matches and lost three. They were defeated by Delaware State (712-760), Maryland Eastern Shore (656-800) and Hampton (589-692). They defeated Coppin State (669-484) and Howard (721-642).

 

The most outstanding performer for the Lady Bears was Keisheena Waldon who averaged 198 pins with a high game of 237. The high game of 255 was rolled by Corey Lissik.

 

The next competition for the Lady Bears will be at the Mid County Lanes in Middletown, Del. on Saturday, Nov. 14, beginning at noon and Sunday, Nov. 15 beginning at 9 a.m.
