NEW YORK, N.Y. (Jan. 23, 2010)-Senior shot putter Tyron Benjamin captured the shot put title over the weekend at the Great Dane Classic with a toss of 59-feet on Friday at The Armory Track & Field Center.
Benjamin’s throw set both a personal and school record for the Giraudel, Dominica native, who ranks 11th in the nation in the event. Benjamin also qualified for the IC4A Championship meet and is a NCAA provisional qualifier with his toss.
