Women's Story

 

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (January 16, 2010)-The Morgan State men’s indoor track and field team returned to the track on Saturday and senior Kevin Bowen was the Bears’ top performer at the Penn State University Northeast Challenge held at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

 

Bowen placed first and fourth, respectively in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.86 and in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.92. Fellow senior Tyrone Benjamin threw for 17.64m in the shot put, earning him a second-place finish.

 

Sophomore Jordan Higgs also placed in the 400 meter dash (50.23), finishing 13th to round out the top 15.

 

The Bears’ No. 1 4X400 meter relay team comprised of senior Bowen, juniors Issac Richardson and Carbinere Whyte and Higgs, finished ninth with a time of 3:18.65.

 

The Bears will return to action this Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Great Day Classic in Albany, NY, hosted by the University of Albany.
