BALTIMORE, Md. (April, 21, 2009)-In what has been a rainy month of April, the showers held off long enough for two days over the weekend, in order to make the 6th Annual Morgan State Legacy Meet, held at Hughes Stadium a huge success.

In the end, the 2009 Legacy Meet, which honored past Morgan State team's from 1947-50, produced 23 NCAA Regional qualifiers and a combined 19 individuals (seven on the women's side) set or broke the previous meet record in their events.

Pittsburgh successfully defended its Legacy Meet title, capturing its second straight with a total of 180.50 points. Fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foe, Norfolk State came in second with 100 points, while the host Lady Bears finished third with 80 points.
