Chyress Lockhart scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half, while DeKeisha Mathis and Moneshia Davis added 15 and 13 points, respectively, for the Lady Bears, who avenged their loss to the Spartans just two weeks ago in Baltimore and recorded their season-long third consecutive victory.
 

Kyle O'Quinn scored 18 points and posted 12 rebounds to lead the Spartans to an impressive 76-59 victory against Morgan State before a packed crowd Saturday night at Echols Hall. 

Morgan State, winners of a season-long two straight, heads back on the road this weekend when they visit Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foes Norfolk State on Saturday, Jan. 28th at 4 p.m. at Echols Hall, followed by an ESPNU contest against Hampton on Monday, Jan. 30th at the HU Convocation Center.
 

Morgan State will prepare for a trip to the Tidewater to face the Norfolk State Spartans on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 6:00 p.m. (ET), before playing against Hampton Pirates on Monday, Jan. 30 in an ESPNU televised contest set to tip at 7 p.m.  MSU will look to avenge a 90-89 2OT loss to Norfolk State and will attempt to sweep the series against Hampton, before heading back to Baltimore for a five-game homestand.

The Morgan State bowling team returned to action for the first time in 2012 as it competed over the weekend in the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs Invitational. The Lady Bears, who entered the competition as the defending 2011 Bowie State Invitational champions, would again have an outstanding showing, this time finishing in second.
